Ten Reasons to Loose 10 pounds
1. Each extra pound of body weight adds an extra 10 pounds of pressure to the knees. Ten pounds of extra weight equals 100 extra pounds of pressure on the knee. It is no wonder there are so many people with knee problems.
2. The feet are made to carry your weight plus a little extra, but they are not made to carry extra weight all of the time. Feet hurt, I am sure they do, your bones are proportional to your skeleton and your skeleton is not proportional to your extra weight. The foot is made up of dozens of small bones that work best when they are not under unusually high pressure.
3. Extra weight around the mid section is one of the best predictors of heart disease. Your heart has to work extra hard to carry that extra weight around.
4. You will have more energy. Spend your energy doing things you like instead of energy carrying extra you. We only have a finite amount of energy if you burn int all carrying extra weight you won’t have any left for the good stuff.
5. People will give you more respect. Sad but true, people judge us on our appearance and first impressions go a long way in shaping our lives. Make a good first impression and you will be better of for it. To make real progress in the area of first impressions try cheap teeth whitening solutions. A clean smile goes a long way.
6. You will get better sleep. Sleep apnea is more common in obese patients and bad sleep leads to lower energy levels, which leads to adding more weight. It is a vicious cycle that loosing that extra 10 pounds can break.
7. Playing with your kids or grandkids becomes much more pleasurable. You may not be able to get on the floor and move around like the 5 year old but you can move around better without the 10 pounds than with it. Playing with our kids is one of the best bonding experiences we can give them. Make it count.
8. Pass through the gateway. Weight loss is often the key that motivates people to take great action in their lives. Ever want to do something great? Loosing 10 pounds could be the catalyst that gives you the confidence to get moving.
9. Set a good example for the rest of your family and friends, need I say more.
10. Improve your quality of life. All of these reasons combined equal a life that is significantly better than before. Take the action, take charge and gain the life that you know is possible.

For one, you can’t lose 10 pounds in one week. But here are some of my tips to lose a few. You should replace any sodas you drink with water. If you have a craving for one then buy a diet soda. It also helps to eat low-fat foods. You also need to lower your sugar and carb intake. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. People who sleep too little or too much are more likely to be overweight. I also found this great article in prevention magazine to tone your buns and thighs when you can’t exercise every day. All you need is a set of 2 or 5 pound dumbells(if you want the workout to be more effective). You spread your feet about a foot and a half apart. If using dumbells, hold them in your hands at a right(90degree) angle. You then squat and hold for 3sec.(make sure your knees are not further out than yor feet). Do 3 sets of 12 repetitions(36 times) for 3 days a week. You should see results in a few weeks.
